  • If you open your eyes, you will see that you are part of a blessed kingdom here on earth. Plants, animals, and other human beings bring love and richness to our days. Please be kind, loving and nurturing, by taking good care of yourself and those who cross your path.
  • It is my belief that human beings were created for the express purpose of bringing joy to their critters! When I lie on my back to begin yoga stretches, one of my pets will saunter over, climb up on top, and look me straight in the face. It's as if they are saying, "Why thank you! Where have you been? I've been waiting for you!" Hence, my idea for "Down Doggie" was formed.
  • Life is an adventure, how wonderful if you have a partner to share it with! New beginnings bring hope, anticipation and joy. The horse will help them arrive to their destination safely.
  • Love as if your life depends on it . . . Dream as if your life depends on it . . . Forgive as if your life depends on it . . . Be grateful as if your life depends on it . . . And it does!
  • There is no such thing as old beginnings . . . all beginnings are new! Each moment – each breath taken is a fresh start filled with hope and possibility. Release your past, release your fears, expect the best and the best will always find you.
  • Every woman is a hero. Her days are filled with happiness, sorrow, humor, frustration, grief and joy. If she is a very wise woman, she will count her blessings and be confident in the knowledge that just around the corner. . . there is a New Moon Rising.
  • She whispers in my ear and tells me that I am perfect and beautiful just the way I am – and I almost believe her. I don’t take this information lightly. It is something I will think about. In quiet moments I sometimes feel soft, wispy tickles on my face, reminiscent of butterfly wings, and I wonder - could they be her wings? We are friends now, and I am curious to know her name so I ask a special lady for help. I watch in awe as she becomes quiet, focused, and alert – the consummate listener. “All I can tell you”, she says, “is that she comes from the tribe of Gabriel. You must give her a name yourself.” So after awhile I begin calling her Ruby, because that is my birthstone. It is also my favorite color and the name of my daughter, if she had been born. It is a name that brings me joy and reminds me that the world is full of beauty – if we keep our hearts open to it. I can’t think of a better name for an angel and in my heart I believe she likes it.
  • Home – that’s what it feels like when two soul mates unite. Two hearts facing the same horizon, a long lost friendship renewed, a miracle unfolding – that’s what it is. Count your blessings for this special relationship, whether it be with child, friend or lover. It is yours to cherish and nurture, and with great care, will last a long, long lifetime.

  • As of January 1, 2015, there were 45 women in the "Women and the Hourglass" series. In honor of the first 45 I created this mixed media collage. Some of the women lost their heads or their bodies to fit into the painting. None of them lost their minds. I'm hoping they will learn to forgive me one day! Forgiveness is the most important thing, don't you think?
